Over the last few years, I’ve been trying hard to be mindful of my spending. Looking at whether I need an item, how it’s made, its eco-credentials, and where it’s from. Sometimes this is much easier than others. That item you need might only be available from the big incorporation with dodgy ethics whose ex-owner prefers to go to space than pay their workers fairly. No names were mentioned! Some of the supplements I’ve needed in the past weren’t available from anywhere else and needs must.
Not everything I own is plastic-free or made from recycled materials (although check out my Bodyshop favourites for some that are). And the ability to pick and choose where you purchase items from is a huge privilege and one I’m very grateful for.
One of the reasons I love Etsy so much is there really is something for everyone, all budgets and lifestyles. From vintage to handmade, home decor to plants and food they have it all. And it’s easy to find something unique for your gift purchasing for others or yourself! I’ve listed a few of my favourite items that I’ve purchased and recommended below. Please let me know of any Etsy shops or items you love in the comments section.
When I saw this gorgeous print from Twisted Rebel Designs I knew I had to have it. This is an Oasis quote but perfect for those of us that are starting our own revolutions from our beds! Probably not what Liam and Noel had in mind but it works!
This Desert Sun Tile from Gold Moon Studios is utterly gorgeous. I bought a plate hanger and it’s now pride of place on my bedroom wall. It came in the most gorgeous packaging too!
This was one of my favourite birthday presents, in fact, one of my favourite presents I’ve gotten in a long time. Not only does it perfectly encapsulate how I feel, but it also’s beautiful and has a really gorgeous vintage vibe to it. Cai and Jo have the most stunning retro prints and I’ve already got my eye on another, Christmas maybe?!
